Stanton Rosenbaum, son of the founder of Denver law firm Isaacson Rosenbaum, joined Ryley Carlock & Applewhite in 2011 in the Wealth Management, Estate Planning, Tax & Probate practice area. Before coming to the firm, he practiced law at Isaacson Rosenbaum P.C. for 50 years and has an extensive background in family businesses, wills, trusts and estates.
He advises family businesses and individuals in all aspects of business, tax, estate, and continuity planning and has particular expertise in managing family and business transitions. In addition, he has tried numerous cases in the United States District Court, the District Courts for the State of Colorado, and the Tax Court of the United States. He has arbitrated and mediated many complex business matters and has acted as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. In addition, he has served as a mediator for the Office of Dispute Resolution, Colorado Judicial Department.
He has negotiated sales and acquisition agreements involving major commercial transactions for both listed stock exchange companies and family-owned businesses including negotiation and sale pertaining to businesses listed on stock exchanges; negotiation of purchase and sale contracts of family-held businesses in transactions of more than $10 million; and tax, estate and probate matters involving estates in excess of $10 million.
He has been integrally involved in senatorial, gubernatorial, and mayoral campaigns in Colorado and served on the Denver County Court Judicial Nominating Commission.
In addition to the below, Stanton has authored numerous tax articles for the Journal of Taxation since 2001.
Stanton has served as a part-time faculty member at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Additional speaking engagements include:
