Ryley Carlock Adds Of Counsel in Corporate, Intellectual Property
Ryley Carlock & Applewhite today announced it has hired Michelle M. Morris as Of Counsel in its corporate practice group.
Morris joins the firm from the Perkins Coie law firm in Phoenix.
Morris focuses her practice on various intellectual property matters, including trademark, copyright and domain name counseling, registration, enforcement and dispute resolution, and intellectual property licensing and agreements. She also focuses on general business transactions and corporate governance.
"We are delighted to add Michelle to our growing team here at Ryley Carlock & Applewhite," said Managing Shareholder Rodolfo (Rudy) Parga, Jr. "Michelle is a top-notch practitioner and a terrific talent, and as we move forward she is just the type of lawyer with whom we love to work," said Parga.
Ryley Carlock has added three lateral shareholder additions so far in 2011, and continues to grow in a number of practice areas.
"I am very glad to be at Ryley Carlock," said Morris. "The regional platform and corporate and IP strength presented by the firm will be a great support to my practice. I also was impressed at how they have preserved a great culture while growing and innovating," she said.
Morris is a 1998 magna cum laude graduate of Arizona State University, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, where she received the Order of the Coif, and served as Executive Managing Editor of the Arizona State University Law Journal. She earned her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in 1989. Morris served as a clerk to Hon. Frederick J. Martone of the Arizona Supreme Court from 1998 - 1999.
