Benevilla announced today that it has named Sun City and Scottsdale attorney W John Lischer as the recipient of the sixth annual Benevilla Legacy Champion Award. The Legacy Champion Award recognizes professionals who support Benevilla by providing services to the community, volunteering in the community, and giving back to those they serve professionally.
Mr. Lischer began serving the community through Interfaith Community Services (now Benevilla) in the 1990's, and in 2010 he started offering life planning guidance to the public, supporting participants' path to retirement and beyond. He has a very active profile in the community, where he is the Area Agency on Aging Investment Advisory Committee Chairman, Arizona Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation Director, Arizona Community Foundation Director, Ellis Center for Educational Excellence Director and Secretary, Phoenix Zoo Professionals Advisors Group Co-Founder and member, Sun City Community Fund Trustee, Sun Health Foundation Trustee, and Sun Valley Lodge Director and Vice President.
Admitted to practice in the states of Arizona and Colorado, John has been listed in Best Lawyers in America since 1993. He serves in professional organizations such as the Scottsdale Health Care Professionals Advisors Group and is a Fellow in the prestigious American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, having served as Arizona State Chairman of that organization. He also served as a law clerk to Justice Lockwood of the Arizona Supreme Court.
